Establishing distinctive theories and methods of design science rooted in Chinese traditional culture

摘要: The human social development saw the formation of five unique civilizations, with the latter forming their own distinctive cultures. China’s traditional culture is its most fundamental ideological weapon for solving problems. The Chinese are good at comprehensive thinking, dialectical thinking, and systematic analysis. These ideological weapons can solve the problems of formal science and technology and create scientific and technological achievements on par with global advanced scale. Ancient China is filled with original scientific and technological achievements, which strongly prove ancient China’s possession of its own science and technology different from that of Western Renaissance. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of science, technology, experience, and intuition is necessary. The long-held superstition regarding the West, the lack of confidence, self-denial, blind imitation of ideas, and shackles must be thrown away. Only then can we take the road toward an authentic Chinese creative design as we learn from others.

工程化是中国农业现代化的必由之路——黑龙江省发展工程农业的经验和启示

摘要:

为努力寻求内涵扩大再生产的办法,促进全省农业生产方式转变,黑龙江省农科院借鉴发达国家先进经验,运用系统工程的方式和手段,在全国率先实施农业科技创新工程和科技成果转化工程,大力发展工程农业,促进了农业发展方式的根本转变,也为发展现代农业找到了一条切实有效的途径。全省农业科技成果转化率由2003年的30 %提高到2010年的70 %,优良品种覆盖率由90 %提高到98 %,农业科技贡献率从48.5 %提高到59.5 %,粮食产量由502.5亿斤提高到1 002.6亿斤,占全国粮食总产量的1/10,商品量占全国粮食商品总量的近1/3,为保证国家粮食安全做出了重大贡献。

中国海洋石油勘探开发科技创新体系建设

摘要:

主要介绍了中国海洋油气勘探开发科技体系建设的背景、发展历程、建设思路、主要内容、建设特色、建设效果和带动作用。在中国海洋石油总公司(中国海油)近30年的快速发展过程中,科技创新体系一直发挥了重要的支撑和引领作用。中国海油围绕“建立与国际一流能源公司相适应的科技创新体系,支撑和引领公司高速高效可持续发展”的目标,努力建设技术创新能力和科技核心竞争力,完善科技创新组织体系、管理体系和技术体系。在实施过程中产生了许多具有“海油特色”的工作亮点,取得了科技核心竞争力与企业总体实力双提升的良好效果,支撑建立起了中国特色的现代海洋石油工业体系,为保障国家能源安全、维护海洋主权、带动国民经济发展做出了突出贡献。

Scientific significance of ancient maps of Yellow River and Grand Canal for water conservancy in China

摘要: Based on the study of ancient maps preserved in China and abroad, the systematic nature and practical meaning of the maps of the Yellow River and Grand Canal is demonstrated. It is pointed out that the ancient maps not only record the spatial information of the established water conservancy engineering for river harnessing but also the management systems of the rivers in history. Besides, the maps provide abundant information on nature, humanity, and geography and possess high value in academic research and art appreciation.

Advances in structural mechanics of Chinese ancient architectures

摘要: Chinese ancient architectures are valuable heritage of ancient culture of China. Many historical building have been preserved up to now. The researches on the structural mechanics of ancient architectures show the different aspects of structure and mechanics. Systematical studies on the structural mechanics of ancient architectures have been carried out at Xi’an Jiaotong University since 1982. It is related with the need of repair of some national preservation relics in Xi’an. These studies include: 1) Ancient wooden structures including three national preservation relics Arrow Tower at North City Gate, City Tower at East City Gate, and Baogao Temple in Ningbao, Zhejiang province. 2) Ancient tall masonry building, the Big Goose Pagoda and Small Goose Pagoda in Xi’an. 3) Mechanical characteristics of ancient soil under foundation and city wall; the influence of caves in and under the ancient City Wall on the stability of the wall. 4) The typical Chinese ancient building at the center of city: the Bell Tower and Drum tower. 5) The behavior of Dou-Gong and Joggle joint of Chinese ancient wooden structure. 6) The mechanical behavior of ancient soils under complex stress state. A new systematical strength theory, the unified strength theory, is used to analyze the stability of ancient city wall in Xi’an and foundation of tall pagoda built in Tang dynasty. These researches also concern differential settlements of Arrow Tower and resistance to earthquake of these historical architecture heritages. Some other studies are also introduced. This paper gives a summary of these researches. Preservation and research are nowadays an essential requirement for the famous monuments, buildings, towers and others. Our society is more and more conscious of this necessity, which involves increasing activities of restoration, and then sometimes also of repair, mechanical strengthening and seismic retrofitting. Many historical buildings have in fact problems of structural strength and stability; the need for further studies on structural mechanics and materials is definitely growing.

Structural synthesis of ancient Chinese foot-operated silk-reeling mechanism

摘要: This work synthesizes the structures of the foot-operated silk-reeling mechanism, which was vaguely depicted in many literatures in ancient China. Based on the analysis of the mechanism, the structural characteristics and design constraints of the mechanism with indeterminate links and joints are concluded. Then, according to the concepts of generalization and specialization subject to the concluded design constraints, all feasible structures of the mechanism that met the technological standards of the subject’s time period are reconstructed. This reconstruction process provides a logical foundation to better understanding, clarification, and suggestions for the issue of ancient mechanical drawings with indeterminate links and joints.

三峡工程在设计、建设和运行过程中,对我国水利水电工程建设、机电设备制造和生态环境保护等各个领域提出了巨大的挑战。针对三峡工程建设的关键技术和难题,国内各个领域的专家学者,进行联合科研攻关,取得了一系列重大创新成果,提高了我国相关领域的科技水平。简要列举了三峡工程建设和运行过程中形成的主要创新成果,对我国今后重大水利水电工程建设和水电清洁能源开发具有重要意义。

Achievements in burn surgery over the past 50 years in China

摘要: This paper reflects on the advancements of clinical and scientific research in the field of burn surgery in China. It includes emergency care of massive burns, resuscitation, anti-infection, prevention and cure of internal organ injuries, metabolic and nutritional support, wound repair and rehabilitation, and special types of burns; it also covers pathology, microbiology, immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, and tissue engineering.

扁鹊传统的古今对话与反思

摘要:

在采用描述性流行性学解读《史记·扁鹊传》的基础上,从宏观与微观两个方面探讨了《史记》背景资料的真伪和鼠疫流行的可能性。结合鼠疫恶寒发热、消化道与中枢神经系统等症状对中医外感热病学说、脾胃内伤学说与温疫温病等学说的影响,围绕伤寒热病与鼠疫病程的一致性,以及由此抽象而来的六经学说,从疾病流行、象数、复杂性思维路径依赖和知识考古,揭示了疫病流行对早期医学理论、原始宗教与思想文化的影响,提出医源于疫的假说,并就疫病流行与中医教育、中西医结合等问题阐述了看法。

Methodological challenges to human medical study

摘要:

With the transformation of modern medicinal pattern, medical studies are confronted with methodological challenges. By analyzing two methodologies existing in the study of physical matter system and information system, the article points out that traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), especially the treatment based on syndrome differentiation, embodies information conception of methodological positions, while western medicine represents matter conception of methodological positions. It proposes a new way of thinking about combination of TCM and western medicine by combinating two kinds of methodological methods.

近年来,我国煤矿装备制造技术突飞猛进,一批代表世界先进水平的技术与装备在煤矿井下成功使用,高产、高效纪录不断刷新;在未来相当长一段时间内,我国以煤为主的一次能源结构难以改变。安全、高效开采技术与装备将继续在煤炭工业发展中扮演重要角色,成套化、集成化、自动化、智能化、信息化、绿色化煤机产品将得到广泛推广和应用。
